When a Realtor calls and wants to show your home...
Ask the Realtor to give you one hour to:
- Boil cinnamon or vanilla sticks
- Open all the drapes or curtains
- Open all doors and windows
- Vacuum / sweep all floors
- Turn on the furnace fan
- Put car in the garage
- Close garage door
then the bedrooms...
- Hide toys under the beds
- Put laundry in hampers
- Close closet doors
- Make the beds
and the bathrooms...
- Clean and dry sinks / tubs / showers
- Hang the "show only" towels
- Clean or tidy counter tops
- Wash the vanity mirrors
- Shake out bath mats
- Put toilet seat down
- Leave fan on
now the living areas...
- Turn off TV and turn on soft music
- Gather newspapers and books
- Remove and empty ashtrays
- Dust coffee and end tables
- Fluff up the sofa cushions
hurry to the kitchen...
- Put dirty dishes into the dishwasher
- Clean stove top and refrigerator
- Clean and polish counter tops
- Run the dishwasher through
- Clean and polish sinks
almost done, now the basement...
- Turn off furnace fan
- Organize any clutter
and last but not least...
- Turn on all the lights in the house
- Dispose of the cinnamon sticks
